Welcome to Jay "Tiger" Arnn's Page! Member Green Knights MMC 117!
On October 1st, 2016, the Green Knights MMC 117 hosted its Inaugural Ride for Children at Qualcomm Stadium in support of childrens palliative and support care. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness and funds to assist the palliative and support care program at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. Since that time, I have been asked: What is a MMC? Let me see if I can explain who we are, what we do, and what we support.
The Green Knights Military Motorcycle Club, Chapter 117 is comprised primarily of active duty and retired military members, DoD employees, their families and their children. The club has chapter across the United States and overseas. The primary purpose of the organization is to promote safe motorcycle riding and promote riders rights and legislation in the States each club represents. We absolutely 100% operate within the law, participate and obey all laws and regulations.
As the organization grew, local chapters, who have a strong sense of community, began supporting military fund raising which grew, naturally, in to supporting our local communities with clean up projects, memorial services, funeral escorts, wreath laying, food drives, and other non-profit fund raising. Last year, I am proud to say, GKMMC117, became a non-profit club with several community causes we support including the "Ride for Children" which raises money for children's palliative and support care services.
Palliative and support care is important for children with chronic and critical disease processes and trauma. Some of the care needed is not covered by insurance. Until we find cures for these diseases, the continued support and care for our children and their families is vitally important. Please consider our cause when you decide to make your donation. The Green Knights MMC 117 are proud to support this cause and to partner with you to help our kids.
